- Child Protection Training
The Child Protection Training has been updated through GSNETX as of 2012. This course is designed for adults working directly with children as mandated by the Health and Safety Code of the State of Texas for any position involving contact with campers at a youth camp They are now offering this training now for free. However, GSNETX will no longer be accepting any training attained through other organizations. Therefore, Youth Protection training, from Boy Scouts, will no longer be accepted. This decision was made on the council level, and we do apologize for any inconvience this may cause. The great news, though, is that it is now offered for FREE through GSNETX! Again, the Girl Scouts Child Protection Training will be the only acceptable training to be accepted. This training course generally takes about 60 minutes to complete. You will be given a certification at the end of completion, you must save a copy of this to either email or print a copy to bring to the Unit Leader meeting. *Remember, this training must be updated every two years*
- Girl Scouts (cost: FREE) GSNETX has updated the new program to be available through on at home study course. You will need to be registered through eBiz (via gsnetx.org) and sign up for course #402 “Protecting Our Girls”. You MUST turn in proof of completion Chris Rappin by the parent meeting, June 7th.
